3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
Our organization is registered and operates in Armenia, and therefore, we process personal information in accordance with the Law on Public Organizations and Armenian data protection laws. The legal basis for processing your personal data may include but is not limited to, the necessity of processing for the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, protection of vital interests, consent, or legitimate interests pursued by us or a third party.
Please note that data protection laws from other countries, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), do not apply to our processing activities, regardless of users’ location. By using our services, you consent to the processing of your personal information as described in this privacy policy and in compliance with Armenian data protection laws other legislation.
4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
- our vendors. We may automatically share or transfer your information in connection with using our mail servers or on recourses owned by us but stored on servers of our vendors. In that case, they are able to access the information, but they are not allowed to use it in any way that would harm you. - participation in partners’ events. We may share your information with our partners to be able to offer you certain services, for example, if you participate in an event organized by another organization on behalf of our organization. In that case, we will ask for your permission or will make it clear to you that your information needs to be shared.
- with Governmental institutions. We may share your information with Government institutions to be able to offer you certain services, for example, if you participate in an event organized by us or our partners in another country and you need visa assistance. In that case, we will ask for your permission or will make it clear to you that your information needs to be shared.
5. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?
We use servers for emailing and storing your personal information provided to us by a third-party Armenian company, which may be physically located outside of Armenia. We also have our own servers for storing information, which are located in Armenia.
Please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us in our facilities and by those third parties with whom we may share your personal information (see "WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?" above) in Armenia and other countries.
6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice unless a more extended retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk.
